Canada: Passport submission service to resume for all visa categories from July 19, says VFS

NEW DELHI: Canada, which is likely resume flights from India next week, has resumed visa processing here. VFS Global on Friday tweeted: “An important update for our Canada visa customers in India. Passport submission service via two-way courier will resume for all visa categories effective 11 am (IST) on July 19, 2021.”
“Customers with a passport submission letter must fill the webform on our website: https://visa.vfsglobal.com/ind/en/can/. Submission of passports at our visa application centres is strictly prohibited… return of your stamped passport may take upto 14 days once delivered to the high commission,” VFS says.
Canada had suspended all commercial and private passenger flights from India on April 23, 2021, during the devastating Covid second wave here. About 20 other countries had similarly imposed restrictions on entry of travellers from India. Now with the second wave waning, those restrictions are slowly being lifted.
